This is the only recent photo I have of myself and my best friend, Nicole, taken in October 2014. Â That’s sad, especially since I could just whip my camera, lights, and remote out and make a really nice photo happen.
That got me started thinking about how long we’ve been friends: over 25 years! Â I thought about all the memories we’ve shared, the things we’ve done. Â How we’re alike: WE LOVE PRINCE!! Â And how we’re different: I’m punctual. I believe she was late for her own birth. Â (Love you anyway, if you’re reading this!).
Then I started thinking: Â How many of us have best friends and don’t have a high-quality picture together? Â We do have one, but it’s 20 years old. When I really feel like searching through Flickr to find it, I’ll show you.
How many of us have taken the time to really think about how meaningful the BFF relationship is? Â If your best friend were no longer here, would there be anything but old pictures to remember her by?
That’s happened to me once, and I don’t want it to happen again.
So, since I’m always coming up with new ideas, I want to share this one with you.
I’m going to start a website showcasing best friends. Â I want to have a picture and then some kind of description of that friendship. Â If you think this is a good idea, would you participate and share? Â
This is how you participate:
Send a clear picture of yourself and your best friend. It doesn’t have to be recent, but if you don’t have a recent picture, I encourage you to take one. Â I know I will!
Both of you answer the following questions:
- How did you meet?
- How long have you been BFFs?
- How are you alike?
- How are you different?
- What do you like to do together?
- What is one thing you appreciate about your BFF?
Send your pictures and answers to: Mrsday AT Mrsday.com.
I’ll start the site when I have at LEAST 10 entries besides my own. so get to picture-taking and answering questions. Most important of all, please share this with others. The more BFFs, the more better!
